Week #105 - 'Spring is Near'

Hello shabby friends and welcome to another fun week of inspiration and creativity here in the Tea Room!  Sadly, we'll be saying goodbye to Char, Cindy, Melissa and Sheri at the end of this week as they have completed their current Design Team terms.  I thank them all from the bottom of my heart for a year's worth of stunning inspiration shared here in the Tea Room!

We're so excited to welcome Lenet, Rebekah, Starr and Tammy to our sweet and creative little family next Monday!!  We are delighted that Fran has accepted an invitation for a second term as well!  I know they are going to 'wow' us all with their fabulous talents!!

This week Char is our wonderful host and she has chosen the theme of 'Spring is Near' along with this beautiful photo for inspiration ...

... and Char asks that you create a card or project inspired by photo USING AT LEAST THREE COLORS FROM THE PICTURE and DRY EMBOSSING!  Be sure you let us know what you DRY embossed because sometimes it's hard to find in a picture!!  There are many different techniques for DRY EMBOSSING - folders, scoring boards, homemade options -- get creative and have fun!!

Note: Because we are sponsored weekly by wonderful businesses who have graciously donated products and in the interest of fairness to all participants, any entries that do not follow our simple challenge rules will remain in the gallery but will not be eligible for the weekly prizes. Thanks for your understanding and participation!

I am pleased to introduce you all to this week's Guest Designer, Vicky Sheridan - Blush Crafts!  Vicky earned this Guest Designer spot for her win in the Tea Room during the Week #93 challenge - 'A Kraft-y Christmas'.

Let's meet the {newest} Shabby Girls!

Please click HERE for this week's 'Colorful Confections' challenge!

Today is a very exciting day here in the Tea Room ... I have the pleasure of announcing the brand new Shabby Girls who will be joining our sweet and creative little family beginning on March 19th!

Before I announce the new teamies, I want to take this opportunity to sincerely thank each and every one of you who took the time to submit projects for the call!  We were honored to receive nearly 60 gorgeous, shabby and beautiful cards and projects ... which made the task of narrowing the applications down to just four new team members very, very difficult.  We saw many familiar faces and a couple of brand newbies ... all the projects were so lovely and we really appreciate you ALL!

So, with that said, we simply couldn't pick just four designers to join us in the Tea Room!!!!  Besides inviting four designers to join us as Shabby Girl team members for the next six months, we also invited four additional designers to join us as Month-Long Guest Designers!

All accepted designer projects were based off of this gorgeous inspiration photo:

Here are the four creative designers who 'wowed' us with their projects and will be joining us as Month-Long Guest Designers in the Tea Room beginning in April:

April Month-Long Guest Designer:  Lori Ulrich - Papercrafts by SaintsRule!

May Month-Long Guest Designer:  Heidi Gonzales - My Lil' Scrap Corner!

June Month-Long Guest Designer:  Dawn Barwick - All Things Pretty Craftee!

July Month-Long Guest Designer:  Heather Hudson - My Artistic Adventures

Beautiful creations, right??!!

Now ... DRUM ROLL PLEASE!  I am super excited to introduce you all to the {newest} Shabby Girls!  All of the winning projects just took our breath away ... the creative use of embellishments, templates, altered art, fabrics and stamping along with the way these designer's thought outside the box while designing projects so beautifully inspired by the photo we provided simply wowed us:

Rebekah Faries - Midnite Lullabies Studio!

Starr Timmons - The Paper Chase!

Tammy Roberts - Paperie Sweetness!

We all are in for a treat over the next six months ... we'll have plenty of creativity, inspiration and eye candy to share with you!

Thank you so very much for following along on this amazing and creative journey with us!

Hugs!
